The Business Need |
|
The client wished to migrate their existing proprietary portfolio management system to a more robust web based data management application to be able to manage their voluminous financial and portfolio management data, which was currently being maintained in excel sheets. The need was also to integrate this application with a centralized research database and back office accounting systems to enhance their research and processing abilities.
Most importantly the client wished to replicate the exact look and feel of its current portfolio management system in the new system.

Keeping the client's primary concerns and essential requirements of speed, performance and use of real time data feed from Routers, to the online portfolio management system, BrickRed provided an ingenious solution, building the unconventional web application into 2 different modes:

Intranet Portfolio Management System: To enhance speed and performance of the application for normal office use of the portfolio management system, where Routers is available on all the machines.

Extranet Portfolio Management System: To enable the users to use the portfolio management system externally outside the office i.e. from cyber cafe or home or from location where Routers does not exist locally.
